AEF: APO 702 Telegram Cover. Interesting use of an AEF canceller on a French telegram that originated in the U.S. and was sent to a Colonel in the 316th Infantry Regiment. Throughtout the service of the 316th Infantry Regiment, 79th Division, in France, the addressee, Colenel Garrison McCaskey was the Regimental Commander. At the time of receipt, Col McCasakey was Acting Commander of the 158th Infantry Brigade.Price: $30.00

This cover was mailed to a civilian address in Luxembourg, however, Luxembourg Post Office charged 12 1/2 centimes postage due as the free mailing privilege of the wwriter was not recognized.
